Fall is finally here! Get ready for hoodies, bonfires, pumpkin spice and everything nice. There is no better way to start off the holiday season then with a bucket list full of adventures. Ever push yourself to the point where you can’t take anymore so you just give up? It’s called overload burnout. When we fail to make time for ourselves, our body turns to a state of emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion. This in turn affects our overall health and wellbeing.
2017 has been an interesting year. I entered the year determined to take on risks so I did what any twenty something year old trying to figure out her life would do –I quit my full-time job. I knew that quitting my job would give me more time and flexibility in discovering what it was that I really wanted to do. Not to mention I dreaded waking up at 4:30am every morning to go to a job that I hated even more. –Ya feel? Little did I know that in this year I’d be confronted with failure.
The holidays is a time for relaxation and festivity, especially, Christmas and New Year’s day. But if you fall into the category of people who get anxious and depressed during this season you’re probably dreading that the holiday is in full swing.
